SMART EVERYTHING

Everything is “SMART”

“SMART” technology is everywhere, all the time.  It’s the new norm around the globe, and almost everyone has some kind of “smart” device these days.  It makes me feel old when I think back on the days of flip phones, dial up connections and tape players.  It makes me feel even older when I can guarantee some of those reading this have no idea what I was just talking about…Nonetheless, it’s amazing to see how far we have come, and it is exciting to think about where we are headed next.

SMART devices are more than just fun to have they provide a wide array of information available at your fingertips, with just a quick tap on your touch screen.  Even, a simple ask to “Alexa” or “Siri” you can get directions to your location (does anyone carry a map anymore?), the next best place to eat, shop, sleep or find local spotlights.  This technology has revolutionized the way we live our lives, complete everyday tasks and do our jobs.

In the last few years we have seen technology go leaps and bounds and it’s no different in the safety, construction and transportation industry.  You can almost always see a “SMART” device in any road construction site.  Direct Traffic Ltd. Is no different offering a variety of “SMART” units that are there to collect data, flash the appropriate message or speed for those in the zones etc.  Sometimes these units are in place to warn drivers of upcoming hazards, change a lane, record their speed and even alert drivers to when traffic is stopped.

We are excited to do our part and are excited to see where this technology goes next!
